"The one person who will never leave us, whom we will never lose, is our self.
Learning to love our female selves is where our search for love must begin" - Bell Hooks

The wisdom to call love home.
Womb Gaia Sophia was born from a decolonial dream to revive our ancestral feminine practices & love philosophies integrating them into a therapeutic frame to prioritise women's emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. It involves decolonising yoga and restoring it to a sophisticated somatic-spiritual practice. This has now manifested as a warm invitation for you to join this wheel of change and call in the wisdom to support women.

Womb bodywork & yoga therapy is a somatic feminine healing art that builds pathways to deep reflection, self-awareness, emotional release, and inner transformation, focusing on the process and presence rather than solutions or fixes. Movement, breathwork, touch and meditation address emotional, and psychological symptoms, particularly supporting growth, self recognition and trauma recovery.
As a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, yoga practitioner and Ayurvedic therapist, I have used my training to divest from the mainstream system to create a unique modality, a curation of techniques and wisdoms. These ancestral metaphysical and somatic arts were developed through the generations by the authority of mothers, healers or seers in their lived experience. I draw in modern polyvagal trauma theory to consolidate the teachings. I also invite guest tutors to support this work and training: Please see here to read about the guest tutors
A Womb Gaia Ethos
Womb- Gaia refers to a spiritual and therapeutic concept connecting the Earth's creative and life-giving energy (Gaia) with the sacred and intuitive center of a woman's body, the womb. It symbolizes the shared ability of both to create, sustain, and transform life, Womb is the sacred void, as well as the inner sanctum that holds people beyond judgements and fears.
This holding involves rematriation, restoring relationship to earth and body. All that strips away at our eco-resources an forges divisions, will disconnect us from our sacred breath and creative potential. Many health issues arise from having to tolerate systemic stress, austerity, alienation and patriarchal social burdens.
By re affirming our female body as a microcosm of the earth, we can center our collective health and challenge grind culture, supporting women to become empowered with the tools they need to thrive through sacred reconnection.
The blue print of our consciousness is to make beauty on earth, to root our ego into feeling, sensuality and compassion . Mainstream talk therapy certainly has its value but it doesn't hit the mark when it comes to feminine needs, overly focused on the mind, fearful of touch and uneducated about women's bodies. Our healing needs depth, an integration of the head, heart, body and soul -to call love home.
I am home. Your first house. It is my wish that you remember You can return to me always for rest and comfort, peace, protection. I am invitation, the invitation of the great earthly dance of ecstatic love. I am power beyond measure. Of source, not force. (From Womb Wisdom, by Padma and Anaiya Aon Prakasha)

"I have heard that on the day the world was born,
the bird of love was released to fly.
It searched all the three worlds
but could not find a fit resting place.
So it turned and entered the inmost heart,
favoured it and never flew elsewhere.
The three worlds asked it then,
'Why are you attached to the human heart?'
'Suffering," it replied, "is the only hope for humans.
Where there is sorrow, there I dwell.'
Where there is grief in the world, love has its dwelling.”
Madhumalati: an Indo-Sufi romance

Gaia integrative.
Womb bodywork & yoga therapy is truly integrative like the Feminine: it involves movement, breathwork, restorative rest, counselling, neuro-compassionate touch, mudra, meditation, self-inquiry, beauty kriyas, (herbal balms & poultices, aromatherapy sprays) voice toning and creative expression in loving presence.
This therapy:
Revives women's somatic wisdom
These are the oral traditions and somatic practices that our ancestral mothers- the medicine women practiced to support fertility, childbirth, menstruation, sexuality, mothering and menopause. These biological states deepen self-knowledge and spiritual awakening. Feminine somatic practices were once indigenous, revered and trans global, although their presence in the Western world has been erased. With modernisation, much has been dismissed or lost.
Centers decolonial healing
Decolonial healing seeks to undo the effects of scientific materialism, military violence and colonization on the body, mind, and spirit — especially the ways systems create control and trauma, narrowing capacity for complexity, self love and dignity. We acknowledge inter-generational buried pain where women had to carry heavy burdens within their body to survive toxic socio-economic conditions. We are restoring the bliss and truth of the female body and centering the sacredness of matter, the body and earth.
Emphasises yoga as a devotional embodiment & energy cultivation practice
Yoga has a diverse and rich heritage, that is not just limited to India but spans throughout Asia. Womb Gaia yoga draws from earth- temple movement forms (Odissi),Thai Ayurvedic yoga & Dao well woman yoga practices which invite a return to intention, presence and vitalisation rather than modern postural yoga which was influenced by military exercise and contortionist gymnastics. Devotional- self cultivation forms combine flowing, graceful movements and strong, stimulating actions, balancing the opposites of fire/masculine and water/feminine. Devotional embodiment is art of transforming energy and increasing compassion in one's being. The body is our sacred vessel. Our health is centered on relating to our body as a temple and not a battlefield.
Remembers the love teachings & Feminine mysteries
The Feminine love mysteries can not be found in any one teaching, text or authority. They are gems of knowledge to be discovered and appreciated in the confluence of traditions and non purist expressions. From the bodhisattva Kwan yin to Indo Shaivite tantra and Sufi-Sakhi teachings that bridged mysticism and eroticism, Womb Gaia Sophia respectfully explores the richness of traditions and includes pearls of wisdom from Europe: Way of the rose & Dark Madonna lineages.
The love wisdoms are mostly relayed through oral transmission, folk song, art and poetry, reminding us of joy and humility. We are not meant to shrivel or abandon ourselves. The promise of light coming through the darkness, is to work through our pain as a catalyst to growth, to reduce and alchemise our suffering by rooting our ego into Metta and beauty.
As we are stirred by life, we release personal density and our essence or truth (prema-rasa) arises. Love is foundational to a yoga practice, It is the feminine spiritual wisdom that celebrates the sheer beauty of human-divine integration and the longing of an intuitive heart to seek unity.
