Overview of the Apprenticeship
This unique two- year apprenticeship is for those who feel the calling to work in an in-depth way with individuals and small groups: to hold healing-therapeutic spaces for other women.
Womb Bodywork & Yoga Therapy is psycho-somatic and spiritual. It is a Feminine healing art, grounded in the wisdom of the female body. She is Shakti- intelligent in her capacity to feel, love, act and respond.
Who This Training Is For
This training is for women who wish to explore their own female embodiment and the depths of their authentic self, including the shadow and grit, where pearls of wisdom can be found from within.
It is open to existing caring, holistic, or mental health professionals with a background and personal practice in embodiment, somatics, or yoga. If you come from a different professional background and still feel drawn to this training, please get in touch.
Depth, Structure, and Learning Experience
This training is devoted to self-discovery and a steady 'ripening' in knowledge. As such, this apprenticeship is spread over two years and totals approximately 825 hours of tuition, mentoring, and personal and group process.
Many somatic trainings, yoga courses, or womb healing programs take place over a few months—or even days—and many are delivered entirely online. In contrast, this apprenticeship is robust and deep. It offers a unique, person-centred experience within a small group, allowing adequate time to process and integrate teachings, practices, and clinical applications.
The course also includes contributions from guest teachers .(Please click here to read more)
Trauma-Informed Focus for Women
The training places a strong emphasis on trauma education and recovery, specifically relevant to women. We work with wounds that often remain in the shadows—pain that is common, yet frequently neglected or denied due to a lack of services and resources.
Holding space for a woman through a transformative healing process requires time, investment, and energy. Women deserve this care. Healing journeys should not be rushed.
Sensitive Personal Material
The personal material encountered in this work requires deep care, sensitivity, and understanding. This may include experiences such as: pregnancy endings or losses, neonatal death, still birth, IVF failure, infertility challenges, hysterectomy grief, reproductive cancer, medical invasive procedures or negligence, mother or ancestral wounds, sexual violation, assault or abuse, trafficking- sex work, commercial surrogacy. Yoga Therapy is Process- Orientated & Healing.
During this training we will work therapeutically with yoga, a process very different to yoga teaching. So much of modern yoga is about applying techniques, addressing specific symptoms, getting fit and toning the body. Yoga therapy is a sophisticated body mind- practice with diverse roots and traditions. Unfortunately today, yoga is commodified and therefore stripped of its psychological and somatic value.
Yoga done therapeutically involves connection to self and inner listening. Therapy emphasises a persons own experience as a vital process unique to them. They can trust their inner self as the source of wisdom and unwind painful stories or patterns held in the body. The therapeutic relationship gives reassurance for clients to develop their self insight to ease tension and suffering with grace and grow within it.
The Womb Gaia method is based on love transpersonal intersubjectivity and embodied epistemology. It focuses on the body, emotions and sensuality are pathways to wholeness and liberation. Essentially this method seeks to disentangle feeling or the felt sense from pain to help women enjoy their emotional and sensual life again. The movement forms are based on energy cultivation, They are mindful, intentional and deeply therapeutic. They operate on a deeper level and so "less content' is needed. More time is given to listen and notice bio- feedback, to follow the of the voice of the body.

Integrating Bodywork with Yoga
Bodywork is yoga with hands on touch. Touch supports body-based awareness, presence and safety. Feelings and experiences can manifest as physical patterns, using gentle, regulating touch alongside breathwork and movement, will helps the nervous system recalibrate. It also improves self understanding through deeper mind-body awareness and connection.
Touch is an integral part of the Feminine healings arts, it calls in the body's own internal intelligence to facilitate healing. Womb Gaia bodywork is very specific to the embodied reality of the female heart and womb. Inspired by Ayurvedic & Thai touch, indigenous midwifery practice and neuro-attachment principles, Womb Gaia bodywork is a unique method that has evolved through clinical practice with women over 20 years. It consists of deep listening, weighted therapy, assisted mobilisation and the use of herbal balms and warmth/ heat. It is non-invasive and clothed.

Ethics & Learning Approach
This course follows decolonial, feminine ethics and a process-centred approach to learning. It prioritises self-awareness, shadow work, and embodiment as essential foundations for working therapeutically, and for developing reflexivity in clinical practice. The first part of the training is structured around a personal and heart opening process. The container we build together is for mutual respect and shared vulnerability, it allows you to go deep in self inquiry and: to find your inner gold.
Learning Process.
The training is organised around an inclusive, non-hierarchical pathway to education, based on a small-group apprenticeship of five women. This structure supports depth, trust, and relational learning over time. This training is unique in that each person becomes a visible 'apprentice' rather than lost behind a computer, or large group. Plenty of time is given to processing, integration and each person's sovereign flame (agni) to be lit. Learning will be by interacting, observing, inquiry, reflection, receiving guidance and building trust which itself models a therapeutic relationship.
