Sarita Devi Nahar: Ayurvedic Practitioner
Sarita Devi Nahar graduated with a BA (Hons) in Ayurvedic Studies in 2003—the first degree of its kind to be offered by a UK university. She subsequently completed her clinical internship at the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi, Karnataka, India.
While beginning her degree in 2000, Sarita also commenced her training in the ancient science of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, studying with world-renowned Pulse Masters Drs Pankaj and Smita Naram. Through pulse diagnosis, the doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—are assessed to identify imbalances that may be present at physical, mental, or emotional levels. Ayurveda focuses on treating the root cause of dis-ease, using personalised dietary guidance, lifestyle adjustments, and herbal remedies.
Recognising that Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences, traditionally practised together, Sarita completed her Yoga Teacher Training at the Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute, Lonavala, Maharashtra, India, in 2012. She later undertook Therapeutic Yoga Training with Elena Voyce and Gee Gahir (TeachYoga) in 2018, focusing on the therapeutic and seasonal application of yoga practices.
Sarita currently runs her clinic in West London and also travels regularly to Scotland and other parts of the UK to offer consultations.

Mary Flynn:: community midwife
I’m Mary - a mother, midwife and yoga teacher. My own journey into motherhood shaped the path I walk today, deepening my commitment to informed choice, embodied birth, and compassionate care. I am passionate about women’s health and supporting mothers to connect with their innate wisdom throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. My work blends modern midwifery knowledge with ancient practices of yoga, breathwork, and hypnobirthing to support both the physiological and emotional experience of becoming a mother. I specialise in physiological birth as a homebirth and birth centre midwife. Alongside my NHS role I offer private, independent midwifery care as well as a range of workshops and events. You can also find me helping to facilitate the Bristol Home Birth Group.
When not working you can find me in the woods, on the yoga mat, crocheting or with my daughter.
